
A new company from the UK, X2 Computing, have launched competitors device for the iPad called the iTablet. This device is using the touch screen 10 or 12 inches, with multi-touch option. This device uses Windows 7 (Windows XP is shown as a reference) or Linux with Flash support.

Samsung was showing off a prototype Samsung Transparent Laptop. This laptop will appear transparent to and from the front. How it possible? Samsung using OLED displays in this 14 inch laptop. This is more similar to the screen technology in movies. It is very possible before the computer will use a transparent screen.

We are now in our fifth year of finding and reporting on all the latest and greatest cool gadgets. In that time technology has certainly moved forward and we’ve had a chance to play with some very cool gear. Recharging batteries makes it possible to live without constantly shopping for batteries. However, in reality those dinky chargers are inconvenient and hog precious outlet space. Which is a serious crime in my house that seems to have a single outlet per room. Well this design will only cover up one outlet and it will work with multiple battery sizes. Sure there are plenty of wall chargers that will charge more than one size, but they are usually awkward to get them all to fit. Plus they only charge a few at a time. This one you just drop the battery down the middle and it’ll sort the battery out itself. Currently this battery station is entered in the Greener Gadgets Design Competition and is a finalist. If you’re feeling a little lonely while you’re surfing the internet or chatting it up with someone online, now you can have a yellow friend to brighten your day. This little guy is capable of picking up on the tone of your conversation and changes his mood accordingly. He’ll even go as far as getting involved by telling you how he feels about the discussions that are being exchanged. Which basically means you’ll have paid your hard earned cash to have a yellow backseat driver while you’re on the internet. On the up side of things it’d be a sneaky way to keep an eye on what your kids are up to on the internet. He works with all of your usual messenger programs like Yahoo, Facebook, Myspace and a few others. He also keeps an eye on the websites that are visited.
